Continuing Education Policies

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Our Continuing Education Program

Radiant Light Learning, LLC provides continuing education designed for medical imaging professionals with an emphasis on relevant, engaging, and thoughtfully designed learning experiences.

Our continuing education may be offered in a variety of formats, including live educational programs, interactive events, workshops, and self-directed online learning.

ASRT Approval

Radiant Light Learning submits eligible continuing education activities to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for review and approval.

Activities that have successfully completed the ASRT review process will be clearly identified as:

Approved by the ASRT for Category A continuing education credit.

Approval applies to the individual activity identified and does not represent blanket approval of all Radiant Light Learning programs, events, or services.

The number and category of continuing education credits available for an approved activity will be clearly identified in the activity description.

If an activity has been submitted for review but has not yet received approval, it will be identified as pending approval rather than as an approved activity.

Participant Responsibility

Radiant Light Learning will accurately identify the continuing education approval and credit associated with each activity.

Participants are responsible for determining whether an activity meets the continuing education requirements applicable to their individual certification, registration, license, employer, professional organization, or jurisdiction.

Requirements may vary, and participation in an ASRT-approved activity does not replace the participant's responsibility to understand and maintain their own professional requirements.

Earning Continuing Education Credit

Continuing education credit is awarded to eligible participants who successfully complete the requirements established for the activity.

Requirements vary by activity and may include:

  • Attendance for the required duration

  • Participation in required educational components

  • Completion of assigned educational content

  • Completion of an evaluation

  • Completion of an assessment or post-test when applicable

  • Other completion requirements identified for the activity

Registration or payment alone does not constitute completion of a continuing education activity.

The specific requirements for earning credit will be communicated with the activity information or course instructions.

Attendance at Live Activities

Participants seeking continuing education credit for a live activity must attend the activity as required by the applicable approval standards.

Attendance may be documented using sign-in and sign-out records, electronic attendance verification, participation records, or another appropriate method.

Late arrival, early departure, or absence during required educational portions of an activity may affect eligibility for continuing education credit.

When a Radiant Light Learning event combines continuing education with dinner, entertainment, networking, wellness activities, or other experiences, only the portion approved for continuing education is considered when determining CE credit.

Interactive & Experiential Continuing Education

Some Radiant Light Learning activities incorporate interactive learning methods such as games, mysteries, puzzles, case-based activities, group participation, role-playing, or other experiential formats.

These activities are designed to integrate educational objectives into an interactive experience.

Participants seeking continuing education credit must complete the educational components required for the approved activity, even when those components are incorporated into a larger social or entertainment experience.

Guests who attend an event solely for the social, entertainment, or accompanying experience are not required to claim continuing education credit.

Self-Learning & Online Activities

Self-learning and online continuing education activities may include additional completion requirements, such as reviewing required educational content, completing assessments, achieving a required passing score, or completing an activity evaluation.

Specific requirements will be provided with each course.

Access to a course does not by itself constitute completion or eligibility for continuing education credit.

Assessments

When an assessment or post-test is required, the passing score, number of permitted attempts, and any other assessment requirements will be communicated as part of the course instructions.

Participants must complete assessments independently unless collaborative work is specifically identified as part of the educational activity.

Evaluations

Participants may be asked to complete an evaluation following a continuing education activity.

Evaluations help Radiant Light Learning assess educational quality, effectiveness, accessibility, and participant experience and support the ongoing improvement of our continuing education programs.

When completion of an evaluation is required for a particular activity, that requirement will be communicated to participants.

Certificates of Completion

Participants who successfully complete an approved continuing education activity will receive documentation of completion containing the information required for that activity.

For ASRT-approved activities, documentation will include the applicable activity title, credit amount, credit category, approval information, completion date, participant identification, and other required information.

Participants are responsible for reviewing their certificate for accuracy and maintaining a copy for their professional records.

If an error is identified, please contact Radiant Light Learning so corrected documentation can be issued when appropriate.

Participant Information

Accurate participant information is necessary for continuing education documentation.

Participants seeking CE credit may be required to provide their full name and ASRT ID number, ARRT ID number, or another appropriate unique identifier.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate.

Radiant Light Learning handles participant information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Continuing Education Records

Radiant Light Learning maintains attendance and completion documentation for ASRT-approved activities in accordance with applicable record-retention requirements.

Records for ASRT-approved live activities are maintained for at least five years following the presentation date.

These records may be used to verify participation if documentation is requested as part of an audit or other authorized verification process.

Replacement Certificates

Participants should retain their original continuing education documentation.

If you need a replacement certificate or correction to previously issued documentation, please contact Radiant Light Learning with your name, the activity title, and the approximate completion date.

Replacement documentation can be issued only when Radiant Light Learning can verify successful completion of the activity from its records.

Accessibility & Accommodations

Radiant Light Learning is committed to accessible continuing education.

Participants who need an accommodation are encouraged to contact us as early as reasonably possible so we can discuss appropriate options.

An approved accommodation does not reduce a participant's eligibility for continuing education credit as long as the essential requirements of the activity are successfully completed.

Additional information is available in our Accessibility Statement.

Academic Integrity

Participants are expected to complete required assessments and individual course activities honestly.

Falsifying attendance, completing required work on behalf of another participant, allowing another individual to complete work on your behalf, or otherwise misrepresenting participation may result in continuing education credit being withheld or invalidated when appropriate.

Changes or Cancellations

Occasionally, an approved continuing education activity may need to be modified, rescheduled, or canceled.

Radiant Light Learning will follow applicable approval requirements when making changes that affect an approved activity and will communicate significant changes to registered participants.

Event cancellations and refunds are governed by our Event Policies.
